01Who we are

Mother Machine is a design and engineering studio. On this site, "we" means legal name, registration number, registered address. We are responsible for the personal data described here.

02What we collect

When you send a work order
What you need, what you write about your business and your idea, your name, your email, your business name if you give it, the tools you use today, your timeline and any link you add.
When you book a call
The day and time you pick, your time zone and the language you read the site in.
During the call
The call runs in your browser through our video provider. We do not record calls. If we ever want to, we ask first and record only with your yes.
When you just visit
Anonymous, aggregated numbers: pages viewed, country, device type, how you arrived. No cookies, no fingerprinting, nothing that identifies you.
Security
Our host and our anti-spam check process your IP address and basic browser data to keep bots out. This is not used to build a profile of you.

We never ask for payment details, ID documents or anything sensitive through this site. Please do not send them.

03Why we use it

  • To answer you. Read your order, reply, prepare a first idea and, if it makes sense, a quote. Legal basis in the EU and UK: steps you asked for before a contract.
  • To run the call. Send the confirmation and the two reminders, open the call room. Same basis.
  • To keep the site safe and working. Anti-spam, security logs, anonymous statistics. Legal basis: our legitimate interest, kept as small as possible.
  • To keep records. If we work together, what the law asks us to keep for tax and accounting.

No marketing emails unless you ask for them. No automated decisions about you.

04Who helps us

A few providers process data for us, only to do their job and under contract with us.

Cloudflare
Hosting, security, anti-spam, anonymous statistics, the database that stores your work order.
Resend
Sends our emails: confirmations, reminders, replies.
Daily
Runs the video call inside our site.
Google
Our inbox, where your emails to us arrive.

Some of them store data outside your country, including in the United States. Where the law requires it, transfers are covered by standard contractual clauses or an equivalent safeguard.

05How long we keep it

  • Work orders that do not become a project: deleted after 24 months.
  • Clients: for the length of the project, then what tax and accounting law requires.
  • Anonymous statistics: they identify no one, so they have no personal data to delete.

Ask us and we delete your data sooner, unless the law tells us to keep it.

06Cookies

Only the strictly necessary ones, so there is no banner to click:

  • Language. Only if you change language: it remembers your choice so the site opens in it next time.
  • Security. Our host may set a short-lived cookie to tell people from bots. It is not used to follow you.

No advertising, social or tracking cookies. Our statistics work without storing anything on your device.

07Your rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us to see the data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or send it to you in a usable format. You can object to how we use it or ask us to limit it.

Ask from the Contact page: choose "Tell us more first" and say it is about your data. We answer within 30 days, usually much sooner. If you are not happy with our answer, you can complain to your data protection authority, or in Australia to the OAIC.

08Children

This site is for businesses. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.

09Changes

If we change this page, we update the date at the top. If a change matters for data you already gave us, we tell you by email.

Terms

The rules for using this website. Projects have their own written agreement; these terms do not replace it.

01Using the site

You can browse, read and share this site freely. Please do not try to break it, overload it, scrape it in bulk or get into the parts that are not public. The Machine Room is staff only, and the key on the panel is a joke, not an invitation.

02What is ours

The brand, the lettering, the posters, the animations, the texts and the code of this site belong to Mother Machine. You can link to them and show them when you talk about us. You cannot copy them, resell them or use them as your own.

Client names, logos and work shown here belong to their owners and appear with their permission.

03The demos

The systems you can try on our project pages are demos. They run on invented data, they are not connected to our clients' real systems, and anything you type in them stays in your browser. They are not licensed for reuse.

04Work orders, calls and quotes

Sending a work order or booking a call is free and commits you to nothing. A first idea or a rough range is an estimate, not an offer. Work starts only with a written agreement that both sides sign, and that agreement wins over anything on this site.

05No guarantees

We keep this site accurate and running, but we cannot promise it is always available or free of mistakes. Results shown for past projects are real for those clients; they are not a promise of the same result for yours.

06Liability

As far as the law allows, we are not liable for losses that come from using this site or from relying on its content. Nothing here limits rights that consumer law gives you and that cannot be excluded, including under the Australian Consumer Law.

07Other sites

We link to client websites and to tools we use. We are not responsible for what they publish or how they handle your data.

08Law and changes

These terms are governed by the laws of jurisdiction. If we change them, we update the date at the top; the version online when you use the site is the one that applies.
